Most ceiling heaters are basically disposable. They’re built as these sealed boxes, and the second a heating element burns out after a few winters, the whole thing is trash. You end up hauling a giant piece of metal to the landfill just because one small part quit. We thought that was pretty ridiculous. So, we did things differently with our 1500W infrared modules.
Why 1500W?
We found that 1500W is the “just right” amount for a backyard gazebo. It’s powerful enough to keep you warm even when there’s a breeze blowing through, but it won’t trip your breakers the moment you turn it on. And since we use shortwave infrared, it doesn’t waste time trying to heat the air—which, let’s be honest, just floats away outdoors. Instead, it beams heat directly to you. It feels more like sitting in the sun.
The “Swap and Go” Design
We treat the heating element like a lightbulb—something that’s meant to be replaced eventually. Instead of burying the tube inside a permanent housing with a mess of solder and wires, we used a modular setup with quick-connect terminals. Fast forward five years. Your element finally gives out. Instead of ripping the whole fixture out of your ceiling and rewiring everything, you just pop the clips, pull the old tube out, and slide in a new one.**It takes less than five minutes.**You’re back to sipping your drink in the warmth before you even have time to get annoyed.
A Quick Heads-Up
Now, there is a trade-off. Because we use connectors instead of hard-wiring, there are more contact points. To keep things safe and stop them from overheating, we used high-temp nickel-plated connectors. Just a tip: make sure they’re seated tightly when you install them. If a connection is loose, it can arc and burn the terminal. Give it a good push to make sure it’s snug.

Outdoor life is tough on gear. Humidity and damp air eat through electronics. By making the heater modular, we’ve made it so you only have to replace the part that actually wore out, not the entire chassis. It keeps your costs down and makes getting spare parts a breeze.
